The ship previously used as a freight ship now sails guests over the Dutch waters IJsselmeer and the Waddenzee. The Gouwzee accommodates 29 guests during the night and is allowed a maximum of 50 guests for a daytrip. Its home harbour is Monnickendam, near the Dutch capital Amsterdam.
